Oscar has been predominantly pasture raised, only recently being put
onto creep feed. Raised with does, Oscar knows his job, and
has proven his fertility via ultrasound confirmed pregnancies. Oscar
offers length, width and a wide tracking back end!
Oscar had pitch
black pigment on his tail at birth and would expect him to clean up
pigment issues, add length and width across the tops and back ends of
his kids. Thickness of twist and added muscle would be another
expectation we would have of this buck’s kids. Add to this combination
the fact he has only two teats (1 + 1) and you’ve got one heck of a guy
for making keep back does with nice teat structure.
We would also
expect Oscar’s doe kids to have the same heavy milk production and
superb mothering skills as his dam. We believe Oscar to be a later
maturing buck who will further improve and widen, with time. Oscar is
the sire to kids by another consignment in the sale-Figbar Farms’ Key West Conch. This buck is ready for work!
